🍽Ingredients for Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo:

2 lbs Chicken Breast
3/4 lbs fettuccine pasta (or angel hair or vermicelli pasta)
1 lb white mushrooms thickly sliced
1 small onion finely chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
3 1/2 cups half and half *
1/4 cup parsley, finely chopped, plus more for garnish
1 tsp sea salt or to taste, plus more for pasta water
1/4 tsp black pepper or to taste
3 Tbsp olive oil divided
1 Tbsp butter

*To substitute half and half, use equal parts of milk and heavy cream

  1. Sorry to burst your bubble lady but half and half has cream in it also alfrado is made with cream and Parmesan cheese melted into the cram creating a creamy sauce you can add your own season but you can not make alfrado with out Parmesan and cream.

  2. How disgusting! your mother's recipe sucks!

    First of all, you should learn, if you have Italian descent, how to pronounce Italian words like "Fettuccine Alfredo" properly.
    (This is a typical Italian-American dish that Italians, real italiani would never imagine to eat, not even taste.
    Secondly, I can definitely see how gluey is the pasta after being drained by you.
    Pasta + chicken = I am already vomiting.
    Usually the recipe has cream*, ops…for the first time there is not cream in it…but "half half" (what does that supposed to mean?)…anyway.
    Cheese, of course! or maybe not?
    How can Americans say no to fake Italian Parmigiano Reggiano, wrongly called/translated Mr.Parmesan? (another essential ingredient to increase the level of cholesterol, and make more American people more obese than already are.
    Then some minced garlic, to please people with your breath during lunch/dinner…yak!
    Before that, some mushrooms to complete the revolting recipe, and don't forget a lot of parsley, to add some more extra "flavour".

    One recommendation to you ignorant cook, don't call pasta (fettuccine) noodles, they are not!
    Pasta is Italian and noodles are Chinese, completely different in every single sense.

    When Americans will start eating like Italians, you will see the difference, but that is just an utopia.

    Everyone always ask, why Italians are so skinny even though they consume a lot pasta and pizza? (typical stereotype).
    Well, the answer is obvious, we eat fresh, plain, quality, and slow-food.
