How did you get started in fitness and Team Performix?
I got started in fitness six years ago. I wanted to have more energy for my newborn son. After a year of training, I fell in love with it and tried Performix and loved that their message was the same as how I lived my life. In fitness and in life, we crush it.
How are you driven in fitness and in life?
I am a father. I am an athlete. I’m a friend and son. In every title I carry out the same attitude. I am driven and put 100% in it.
What advice can you give to our fans who are just starting out or looking to get back to the gym?
Write out a to-do list. Each week I write out a list of things I need to get done in order to come closer to my goals. Writing things down can be a very effective way to start and keep going.
If you had to pick only 3 exercises what would they be and why?
Pushups, squats and kettlebell swings. I love these three because they not only help you stay shredded year-round but they are great functional movements to help increase athleticism.

Fitness is transformative. It can change your body, of course, but more importantly, it has the power to change how you see yourself and your place in the world. Performix athlete and overall badass Mike Vazquez understands this power, because fitness transformed him into the man he is today.
Through a unique blend of breakdancing, calisthenics, and traditional barbell movements, Vazquez has created a signature training style and a body marked by speed, power, and real strength. He may have started out overweight and unhappy, but today he’s a business owner and proud role model to his son, and he embodies the Performix notion of “greatness, unrelenting.”
