Something that constantly blows my mind is the mental and emotional transformations experienced by the JSHealth community. Seeing how empowering it is for women to learn to truly nourish their bodies, not because they want to look a certain way, but because they want to feel their best gives me the ultimate joy. Here’s a touching testimonial we received this week.

Charlotte’s story

When I was a teenager, I used to be thin and confident in my body. Sport was a big part of my daily life and I used to eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted.

This lifestyle was OK for years, but when I went to university, I didn’t have time to plant sport or work out, and I ate unhealthy food. In four years I gained 35 kilograms and lost the confidence I used to have. I was binge eating and was totally disconnected from my body.

I wanted to change, so I started a crazy diet that made me lost 17 kilograms in two months. I was so happy and felt like it was the end of my problem. But I realised I that I had become obsessed with my weight. I used to weight myself first thing in the morning and last thing at night. The number on the scale determined my mood for the day, and I was never happy as I never felt like I was enough.

A few years ago, I found your 8-week Program and I bought it straight away but never committed for the eight weeks. When I realised how unhealthy I was and that I deserve to feel confident and healthy, I knew the program was the way [forward].

I’m still on the program and I see so much change, not only on a physical level, but I feel like I’ve freed myself from the burden my body used to be.

I know I still have a long way to go to heal my relationship with food, but I’m at peace because I know I’m not alone. I know that I can do it.
