Something really interesting happens when you start grouping triplets into groups of five. I wrote the following exercises for my own practice routine. I consider them to be suitable for intermediate to advanced drum students. I usually use them when I need to get in shape for a gig or just for regular maintenance of my technique. In this video I will share some of their iterations and give you brief examples of how they can be orchestrated on the drum set. Hopefully, they will give you some fresh ideas, which you can then further develop and embellish.
Please let me know in the comment section if you have any questions regarding the exercises, I’d be happy to help.
