Sweet and Spicy Sesame Walnuts – Healthy Recipes – For Food Lovers!
Putting these two nutritious ingredients together along with all the spices, you got yourself a healthy and tasty snack with a kick. And 15 minutes is all you need!!
- 1 cup untoasted walnut halves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 Tablespoon water
- 1/2 Tablespoon butter
- 2 Tablespoon sesame seeds
In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the butter, water, sugar, salt, cumin, white pepper powder and cayenne pepper together for about 1 minute. Stir, making sure the sugar is melted. Finally, mix in the walnuts and sprinkle the sesame seeds and toss.
Place a sheet of lightly greased aluminum foil into the fryer basket and put the walnuts in without stacking. Air fry at 300F (150C) for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket once in the middle. Let cool completely before serving.
